VENUE:   The scenic Forest Of Nisene Marks State Park

RACE DISTANCE:  5K OR 10K.  (5K runners or walkers)

START/FINISH & RACE EXPO:   Located in the picturesque Aptos Village Park

COURSE:  Beautiful out-and-back on rolling terrain through the Redwoods on paved road and fire trail.  Aid Stations at the start/finish and halfway point turnarounds for 5K and 10K runs.

AWARDS & SCHWAG:  We put the wag  in schwag for you!  Every entrant gets a finisher’s medal, T-shirt, and a doggie bag full of treats for man and his best friend.  Great prizes for top teams of dogs & runners in the 5K and 10K races.  Win your division and win a new pair of Saucony running shoes!  Special awards for youth, smallest and largest dogs.  Every dog entry contributes to our sponsorship of animal health studies through the Morris Animal Foundation.

DIRECTIONS: Use the State Park Drive exit from Hwy 1.  Go east on State Park Drive to
Soquel Drive. Turn right on Soquel Drive.  Go 1 mile to Aptos Creek Road. Turn left on Aptos Creek Road into the park.   

PARKING:   Parking is available in the dirt parking lot at the entrance to Nisene Marks State Park.  Follow parking lot volunteer attendant directions and walk down to the Aptos Village Clubhouse race expo & registration area (approx. 0.2 miles).  Street parking is allowed in local neighborhoods.  You can also park at the Rancho Del Mar Shopping area, ¼ mile north of the State Park entrance.  Please keep your dog on leash at all times.  See Google Map of area

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN APTOS VILLAGE PARKING LOT SPACES DESIGNATED FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES OR IN APTOS VILLAGE CREEK ROAD CONDO COMPLEX GUEST SPACES.
